Year 6 Porthpean Camp

Not even the weather could spoil Year 6’s time at Porthpean Camp earlier this week! They survived the very stormy first night (after evacuating their tents to sleep in the barn!) and had a brilliant time doing climbing, archery, orienteering, high ropes, kayaking and other beach activities.

Year 5 Visit Carwynnen Quoit

On Thursday this week, Year 5 pupils walked up to the Carwynnen Quoit, a 5000 year old Neolithic monument on the Pendarves Estate.

Family Sharing Afternoon

Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along to our Family Sharing Afternoon before the Half Term break. We hope you enjoyed this opportunity to see what your child has been learning this year.

Steam Engine at St John’s!

Before Half Term, we had a very special guest in our playground when Dougal the steam engine paid us a visit to support Year 4’s ‘Terrific Trevithick’ topic. Dougal can be seen every year on Trevithick Day in Camborne, and it was brilliant to see him at school! Thank you to Dougal’s driver Neil Jones for telling us all about this amazing engine.
