St John’s celebrated harvest this week (12-16 October). All week, our school councillors have been running a Fairtrade tuck shop, raising money to send off to the Fairtrade Foundation. On Wednesday, we celebrated harvest mass with our families and parishioners. We bought in lots of food contributions to be sent to the Food bank in our town.
In the evening, we enjoyed our annual Bring and Share Harvest supper. The hall was full of staff, parents, grandparents, pupils and even past pupils! Special thanks to the families who contributed a plate of delicious food, and to the PTFA for their help, as always.
There was even storytelling in the library for some of us!!
We invited Brian Terry, from the Camborne Fairtrade Committee, to collect the money we raised from our Fairtrade tuck shop. We were proud and delighted to be able to present a wonderful £136!
