On Tuesday 19th May we had our third trip to Camborne Science and International Academy. We went to the science department to do some work on the different states of matter.
The children experimented turning ice into water and then water into steam. This demonstrated the 3 states of matter: solid, liquid and gas.
Miss Deacy also showed the children some apparatus to demonstrate condensing and evaporating by heating and cooling a blue liquid.
These visits are a fantastic opportunity for the children to stretch their scientific knowledge under expert tuition and for them to have access to equipment that we wouldn’t ordinarily be able to use. The children behaved very well and showed a wonderful level of knowledge and an enthusiasm for scientific enquiry.
