This club is for Years 1 and 2 and is run by Mrs McLoughlin. The children will take part in activities such as card making and other paper-based activities, using a range of media.
Craft Club takes place on a Wednesday and is run by Mrs Haynes. This half term, it is for Year 5 where children will learn skills in sewing, cutting and assembling to create objects.
Film Club is for Years 1 and 2 and is run by Mrs Venn and Mr Benney on a Monday. The children gather to watch a whole range of films, from modern day masterpieces to obscure subtitled films; from animation to cartoons to live action. After we have watched a film, we write a review which goes on the Film Club website. This site is home to thousands of review written by children. We can also use the site to request new films we would like to see. This club is lead by Miss Moult and is for Year 1 and 2 children on a Monday. Miss Moult will introduce the children to short and middle distance running, with a variety of routes around the school grounds.
Mrs Clifton-Griffith and Mrs Smith run this club on a Thursday, for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. The children will learn a variety of invasion games, including tag rugby, hockey, high 5s and football.
This takes place on a Tuesday and is run by Mrs S Williams and parent volunteers. This term it is for Years 3 and 4.
Mrs Lobban runs the sacramental preparation club on Wednesday afternoons. This is for children (from all local schools) who have been baptised into the Catholic church, are aged 7 or older and who would like to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. Please see Fr Cadoc regarding enrolment on this programme. Classes take place in the Year 3 classroom, supported by parishioners from our Parish.
Mrs Mundell runs the netball club for Year 6 children on a Friday lunchtime. Boys and girls practice their shooting, passing and tactical skills, ready for the school netball fixtures.
Mrs Lean, Mrs Lobban and Mr Moran lead this club on a Thursday. The staff set routes around the local area for the children to gain experience in middle and long distance running. It is for children in Years 4, 5 and 6 and the club regularly takes part in local events, such as the Children’s Hospice South West Rainbow Run.
Mrs Keast runs this club for Year 4 and 5 children on a Monday. The children take part in paper-based art activities, using a range of media.
Mrs Vigo and Miss Willson teach the children a range of cutting, preparing and cooking skills, to prepare a range of meals. This term, the club is on a Tuesday and is for Years 3 and 4.
Miss Teixeira runs this club on a Wednesday, for children in Years 1 and 2. A range of skills will be developed, including balancing, jumping, spinning and a variety of simple floor elements.
Mrs Ash supports the children in maintaining our flower beds and keeping our school grounds looking smart. This term, it is for children in Years 1, 2 and 3.
